OUR FOUNDATION

What We Believe.

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son." — John 3:16

ONE HEAVENLY FATHER

GOD- Our Creator & Father

We believe there is only one eternal and perfect God, the omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent Godhead. He is our Father, Creator of heaven, earth, and the universe.

We believe in the Trinity; our one true God exists and is now manifested in three eternally distinct and coequal Persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1)

ONE TRUTH

GOD’S WORD- The Bible

We believe that the Bible is God’s “Basic Instructions for Believers Living on Earth.” The Bible comprises the Old and New Testaments, is ever-living, breathing, infallible, and fully inspired by God as His love letter to all of Mankind.

Because God’s Word is completely trustworthy, prophetic, and applicable for Christians living today, we base our faith on it, deeming it as the final authority for how we conduct our lives, entreat others, commune, and glorify Him in the process. (Hebrews 4:12)

WE NEED GOD

OUR FALL- Sin Nature

Through Adam, man was created in the image and likeness of God, which means we have “free will” to make decisions based on God’s Word or of our own account. Once Adam and Eve disobeyed God’s command by eating from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, sin entered the world, man’s image of God in humanity was defiled, but not eradicated.

Due to sin, all of humanity is naturally corrupt in the heart and estranged from God, condemned to a mortal death on this side of heaven as the wage for descending into sin. (Genesis 3; Romans 6:23; Jeremiah 17:9-10)

We believe that God, in His eternal wisdom, already knew that we would desperately need an atonement for the forgiveness of our sins and restoration of fellowship with Him. Yet, because of sin, we remain completely unable to restore ourselves and atone for our sins.

(Romans 5:11-12)

WHO IS JESUS

GOD’S SON- Jesus Christ, Our Lord & Savior

Jesus is the eternal and only begotten Son of God, the Second Person of the Trinity, and the One who took upon Himself human flesh to dwell on the earth with us. He is “Immanuel, God with us!” Jesus’ first advent (first coming) was manifested through His miraculous conception by the Holy Spirit into the womb of a young woman named Mary (“…blessed among women.”)  At His birth, Jesus, who is fully God, also became fully man, uniting the two natures into one Person forever. (John 1:1-5)

We believe that Jesus came to live a perfect and sinless life on earth, and also to die on a cross for the sins of the entire world, rise bodily from the dead, and then to ascend back to heaven where He now sits at the right hand of the Father as High Priest and Mediator. (1 Peter 2:24, Hebrews 4:14-15, Revelation 7:9-11)

We believe Jesus will soon come first for His “Bride,” the Church Body of Believers, to gather us back to Himself and the Father. However, He will also return bodily and visibly back to the earth directly at His second advent (second coming), as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. During His second coming, He will judge the nations and the world of its sin, as well as the Beast and the False Prophet who will be ruling over the earth during the time of the 7-Year Tribulation. (Revelation 19:15-17)

WHY WE NEED JESUS

GOD’S GIFT- Salvation

We believe that salvation can only come through belief in Jesus Christ alone. It is the gift of God, by grace, through faith, and on account of Christ. Jesus made salvation possible through His redemptive work on the cross, shedding His blood as the ultimate atonement for the sins of the entire world—past, present, and future. All who have and will receive the gift of salvation, receiving Christ Jesus as the only begotten of the Father, will be sealed by the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption. (Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 3:24-26)

All believers who have received Christ Jesus will be raised from the dead or raptured (snatched up from their earthly lives) to meet Him in the air. Our bodies will be supernaturally transformed, taking off the corruptible, mortal body and putting on the incorruptible, immortal body (1 Corinthians 15:52-54). And we will live forever in fellowship and in the eternal presence of God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, in a new heaven and new earth.

Those who reject salvation through Christ Jesus will spend an eternal, conscious life in punishment/torment, separated from the love and fellowship of God. The places absent of God’s presence include Hades, Hell (Gehenna), and the eternal Lake of Fire, which is the final, ultimate destination for all who have ever lived and rejected Christ, for the Antichrist, the False Prophet, Satan (the devil), and his entire realm of demonic beings/fallen angels.

GOD’S POWER IN US

GOD’S SPIRIT- The Holy Spirit, Our Helper & Advocate

The Holy Spirit is the eternal Third Person of the Trinity. He is the Regenerator and Sanctifier of those who have been redeemed. The Holy Spirit is “God IN Us,” leading, guiding, and revealing the knowledge of God to the human soul. To all those who believe and receive, the Holy Spirit is revealed to us through Jesus Christ. (John 14:25-27; John 20:21-22; Romans 8:26-27)

He promotes wisdom and understanding of God’s Word, empowering and equipping us to live by faith, glorify God, and express the Fruit of the Spirit and spiritual gifts for the service and edification of the Church. (1 Corinthians 12:1-14)

GODLY MARRIAGE

GOD’S FIRST ORDINANCE- Marriage & Family

We believe that marriage is a sacred covenant and foundational institution ordained by God the Father to unite one man and one woman in a lifelong, exclusive earthly partnership. (Genesis 2:18-25)

We also believe that God designed this union to reflect the sacrificial love of Christ for His Bride (the Church), providing a foundation for love, mutual support, companionship, the nurturing and development of the family, and for personal spiritual growth. (Ephesians 5:22-28)

Therefore, we believe that the Christian marriage is a public commitment that transcends human invention. Marriage God’s way demands honor, respect, and faithfulness as is established in the Scriptures.

CHRISTIANITY

GOD’S CHILDREN- The Church, Bride & Body of Christ, Christians

The Christian Church, also known as the Bride and Body of Christ, is comprised of every person who has consciously received Jesus as their Lord & Savior through faith. The true Church has been sealed by the Holy Spirit for the day of redemption (Ephesians 4:30). The ultimate role of the Church on earth is to: ‘Individually and corporately worship God, fellowship and serve with other believers, and glorify Him through prayer, faith, diligent study and obedience to God’s Word, evangelism, and life application of the Scriptures—until the Lord returns for His Bride.’ (Matthew 28:18-20)

We also believe that the Church is to live a sanctified life, do good works according to God’s Word, share the Gospel with the world, and observe God’s ordinances of baptism and communion. We are to be light and salt for all who are around us, living as witnesses of Christ’s salvation and the transforming power of God’s Word working in our lives. (Matthew 16:18; Romans 12:5; 1 Corinthians 12:12)
