Our Story: 38 Years in the Making. Still Being Written!
We’re living proof that love ‘Built on Covenant’ can withstand anything.
Hindsight is Always 20/20.
Looking back over our 38 years together, six of dating and thirty-two of marriage, we clearly see how God had been orchestrating every step, leading us toward His plan.
God’s providence has woven us together, and His sovereignty has kept us together! He remains the connecting thread of everything we are, and everything we offer to the wonderful couples we serve.
Our Marriage Has Never Been a Straight Line.
Like every real and lasting union, ours has moved in cycles of ups and downs, and we’ve known the particular weight of major life transitions. For example, in 1997, we packed up everything familiar and moved from Milwaukee to Houston with our 6-week-old infant and 16-month-old toddler, trusting God with a faith leap that felt far larger than the miles.
As our family grew, we’ve sat in countless emergency and hospital rooms, navigating serious health scares from 2002 to 2021, and walking the road of Jason becoming a disabled Veteran.
In 2009, we had the courage and faith to start a marketing firm, and then relaunch it at the very onset of a global pandemic in 2020.
We’ve also learned the bitter-sweetness of releasing adult children into the world, managing the complex responsibility of caring for aging parents—stewarding their health alongside our own, and anticipating the new adventures that await us as empty nesters.
Every transition has left unique strains on our marriage, including breakdowns in communication, broken trust, pride, and intimacy issues. Yet, with each turning point, we see God opening a new chapter and assuring that He is with us as the binding thread running through it all.
Our 30th Anniversary Birthed an Awakening.
In 2024, we felt a renewed sense of purpose and gained a clearer vision for our marriage. We soon discovered that the fullness of our story wasn’t just for us; it was for the edification and encouragement of other couples.
Years ago, the Lord gave us a vision: An open field and a rising call to seed and water the ground. (1 Corinthians 3:6-9a) In 2026, we believe that vision is manifesting as God gives the increase, transitioning us into Marriage Ministry.
Today, we’re walking alongside couples who are ready to fight for their marriages, trust God’s plan, and grow through Biblical principles and Spirit-led guidance.
